Barcud Housing Assistant, Amanda Evans, is a brave ‘sole’ as she has agreed to do a Firewalk to help raise funds for Wales Air Ambulance Charity 🔥🔥🔥

The firewalk is a sponsored walk with a difference! It might be the shortest and hottest walk, but it takes strength of mind to complete the challenge of walking five metres, barefoot, over hot coals which reach temperatures of up to 800°C 😳😳

Amanda will be doing her Firewalk at Moody Meadows in Aberaeron from 6pm on Friday, 10th July 2026. Please go along to cheer her on 🙏

Mae Amanda Evans, sy’n Gynorthwyydd Tai gyda Barcud, yn ddewr dros ben oherwydd mae wedi cytuno i gerdded ar dân er mwyn helpu i godi a***n i Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru 🔥🔥🔥

Mae’r her cerdded ar dân yn her gerdded noddedig sydd ychydig yn wahanol i’r arfer! Nid yw’n golygu cerdded yn bell, ond mae cwblhau’r her o gerdded pum metr yn droednoeth ar lo poeth sy’n cyrraedd tymheredd o hyd at 800°C yn gofyn am lawer o gryfder meddwl 😲

Bydd Amanda yn ymgymryd â’i her cerdded ar dân yn y Moody Meadows ger Aberaeron o 6pm ymlaen nos Wener, 10 Gorffennaf 2026.

A successful community skip day took place at Coed Y Llan Estate, Llanidloes, last week bringing together Barcud Housing Officers, local residents and representatives from Powys County Council's Highways, Transport and Recycling Service in a joint effort to improve the neighbourhood 🏠🌍💚♻🗑
The initiative saw Barcud working alongside tenants, who made the most of the opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items and contribute to a general clean-up of the estate.
The impact was immediately visible, with the estate left in a significantly improved condition. The clean-up not only enhanced the appearance of the area but also fostered a strong sense of community spirit among those who took part.
A big thanks to all residents and colleagues who contributed to the day’s success 🙏

Come along this Friday afternoon for a fun-filled community play session and feedback event for residents and families living on the Maesyderi estate in Lampeter🎪🤸‍♂️🪇
