Following on from a recent incident where a youth was found to be in possession of knives, Aberaeron Neighbourhood team has been out on foot around school drop off time this morning.

They focused their efforts on a thorough sweep of the Square Field, bus shelters around the town, and the main bus stop as part of our ongoing commitment to Operation Sceptre. Thankfully no discarded knives were found this time.

🔪 Operation Sceptre is a national initiative where police forces take proactive, intensified action to reduce knife crime, remove dangerous weapons from our streets, and educate our communities.

MISSING | Have you seen 18-year-old Liyan, reported missing from the Llandysul area?

Liyan, shown in the picture, is now described as having short black hair and usually wearing jogger style bottoms. She has links to the Wilpshire area near Blackburn and is believed to have previously travelled between Wilpshire and Llandysul via train.

Liyan has been missing since November 2025. We’ve done all we can with the information we have and worked with other police forces to try and find her.

Despite this, we have not been able to trace her, and we are now asking for your help.

Do you have information that might help us find Liyan? Please, let us know:

Mynychodd swyddogion cymuned Llambed, PC Jones a SCCH Clarke, Ŵyl Calan Mai, yn nhref Llambed ddydd Sul.

Mae digwyddiadau fel rhain yn gyfle gwych i ymgysylltu â'r gymuned, gwrando ar bryderon, cynnig cyngor atal troseddau, ac adeiladu perthnasoedd cadarnhaol â'r rhai yr ydym yn eu gwasanaethu.

Diolch yn fawr i bawb a ddaeth draw i ddweud helo, ac i gyngor tref Llambed am drefnu digwyddiad mor llwyddiannus. Rydym yn falch o gefnogi mentrau sy'n dod â'n cymunedau ynghyd.

Lampeter neighbourhood officers PC Jones and PCSO Clarke attended Gwyl Calan Mai, in Lampeter town on Sunday.

Events like these are a fantastic opportunity to engage with the community, listen to concerns, offer crime prevention advice, and build positive relationships with those we serve.

A big thank you to everyone who came along to say hello, and to Lampeter town council for putting together such a successful event. We're proud to support initiatives that bring our communities together.

⚠️ Did you know? Quad bikes and ATVs are a major target for thieves and highly organised criminals in the UK. These types of vehicles are easy to steal as thieves can jump on and drive off when you are working on a farm or target them from workshops and barns.

PC 611 Liz Jenkins visited farms in Tregaron and Llangeitho this week and carried out security markings on quad bikes. By using SelectaDNA to mark property with a unique DNA identifier, it can help you protect your home or business.
