James has been busy again!
That’s another stretch of boardwalk completed so that our visitors don’t have to wade through mud on the sections of our woodland walk that get a bit squishy in wetter weather.
You’ll find this new section on the side of Gorse Field.
Thanks for another sterling job, James!

It might look messy, but the poo on the EcoLodge balcony is evidence of our Barn Owls in residence!

Chris is enthusiastically demonstrating what you might see if you stay in Owl's Roost (he had far too much fun doing this!), with the Barn Owls perching on the rail, and flying in and out, so you might get a super close up view of the real thing from the kitchen window. They nest in our owl box in a nearby building.

If you are a keen birder, or photographer, imaging the photo you could get on a moonlit night!

If you want to get a closer look, you can book to stay in Owl's Roost via our website:

What a joy!
On Tuesday evening these fox cubs were spotted in the woods, brave as can be, trotting over to investigate, and learning more about their surroundings. Not only is it a joy for people who come to walk around the conservation centre to see wildlife up close and personal like this, but it's also a joy for me to get an email like this, with a beautiful photo in my inbox the following morning. Thank you for sending this in Judy - It's made my morning!

If you spot any wildlife on your wanderings around the site, please do let us know and share any photos if you can!

🌿 New Workshop - Weave a Willow‑Backed Log Chair 🌿

Fancy creating something beautiful, practical, and totally unique for your garden? Join us for a hands‑on workshop where you’ll weave a stunning willow back rest to fit onto a log — perfect as an outdoor chair or even a quirky plant holder!

Using locally grown Denmark Farm willow, you’ll learn a variety of weaving techniques suitable for complete beginners and experienced weavers alike. By the end of the session, you’ll head home with your own handcrafted piece ready to enjoy outdoors.

🪵 Please bring your own log — any size you like!
If you don’t have one (or have spares to share), just get in touch and we’ll help match people up.

Come spend a creative, relaxed day surrounded by nature — we’d love to see you there! 🌱✨

The So-Pa Tai Chi Chuan group enjoyed a visit to Denmark Farm yesterday, where they were treated to a guided tour of our beautiful conservation site. 🌿✨
Members explored the diverse habitats, learned about the ongoing sustainability work, and took in the peaceful surroundings.

The group also practiced Tai Chi outdoors, making the most of the fresh air and tranquil landscape — an ideal setting for mindful movement and connection. 🧘‍♂️🌳

A warm thank‑you to Glenn who is both a member of the So-Pa Tai Chi Chuan group and a member of Denmark Farm. He kindly used his free venue hire day from his membership package to bring the group here for what we hope was an uplifting day for everyone.
