Thanks to everyone who picks up their litter at the Play Area it's really appreciated, I've been trying to report the overflowing bin - there is a link on the North Yorkshire Website https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/bins-recycling-and-waste/street-cleaning-and-littering/street-cleaning-and-littering-craven-area which isn't working at the mo - but anyone can report an overflowing litter bin, the address of the play Area is: Goodenbergh Play Area

Meanwhile if the bin is full we'd appreciate it if you could take your litter home.

Hi I was wondering if people want an Egg Games at the Play Area this year as there hasn't been one since 2019?
If there is interest we would be looking for volunteers to run it - Charlotte, Emma and Alice can tell you how it's worked before, but having done it from 2012 till 2019 we think it's time for new people and new ideas - Anyone fancy stepping up?

The new equipment is finally in! Thank you to for our Awards for All Grant and NYCC for the planning gain funds. We've been able to replace the rotted timber swings with this great dome climbing frame as well as upgrading the old springer and spinners with the new Hedgehog springer and a mini basket swing! And repair all the edges of the wet pour flooring. A heroic effort by the contractors who did all of this during storm Babet big shout out to them and the team at Wicksteed.

Exciting news - New equipment being installed at the play area this week! You will find the gates closed for the next week - so please bear with the contractors whilst they get the job done 😃

This was found whilst we were litter picking at the play area yesterday, if you’ve lost it send us a message and I can let you know where to collect from.

A quick tidy at the play area this morning. Cleaning, replacing bolts, and litter picking from the committee. We will be meeting again soon to do more and need to tackle the willow tunnel too. If you ever have a free half hour and think you might be able to help anytime, please message us.
We are very grateful to everyone who has a quick clean up when they visit too - thank you ☺️

Bentham Masterplan - if you haven't had a chance to do this yet fill in the online form. There is a section on what could be done right now to improve our town - please consider asking for new equipment at the play area to replace the condemed hex swing that's been dismantled.

Join us for a clean up at the Play area on Sunday 20th at 11am - we are going to have a go at removing the graffiti and having a general tidy up - it would be lovely to see some families there - bring your rubber gloves! Hopefully just an hour if we get some helpers... 😃
