It’s always wonderful to see our efforts making a difference, but when we hear news like this, it’s particularly special.
We’ve just heard that every single one of the 28 girls at Mian Gul Model School for Girls secured an A1 grade in their GCSEs, while 15 of the 17 boys at The Brigadier Gul Man Model School for boys achieved an A. And most importantly, no one failed.
It’s moments like these – and the emotion, pride and joy that come with them – that remind us why all our fundraising efforts are so worthwhile.
We couldn’t be prouder of these amazing young people and everyone who has supported them along the way.

Did you know? Our new school for boys and girls in the Peshawar District of North West Pakistan will offer a path out of child labour, plus increased life chances, family support, and life expectancy for thousands of children. As we, here in England are enjoying the school holidays with our children, it’s lovely to visualise that connection with the families our work and donations are helping, in kinship across the world.

Have your kids got plans for the summer holidays? We’re guessing that might not include working dawn till dusk in a brick kiln, walking miles to fetch water, or looking ahead to a life expectancy of just 38. That’s why we tirelessly work, communicate, fight, fundraise and get our hands dirty to build schools, health services and vital infrastructure for children and families living in some of the toughest conditions imaginable.

Beautiful dinner spot on the Neretva River in Bosnia, where we stopped for some welcome food to refuel tired muscles on our charity trek. While we might have had second thoughts about being served this fish at our local chippy, when you’re headed for two of the country’s highest mountains to raise funds for building our community hospital- every mouthful tasted absolutely delicious!
(It definitely tasted better than it looked!)

We are thrilled that wonderful local charity 'Soroptimist International Garstang' has “overwhelmingly” voted our Mother and Child emergency unit in Peshawar District a beneficiary of their fundraising for the next two years.

Providing 24/7 mother and child emergency care with 12 beds, a delivery suite and procedure rooms, we estimate the new unit will benefit 24,000 patients annually, making a significant difference to health outcomes.
Thank you, Soroptimist International Garstang! https://sigarstang.org.uk

It’s a corridor.
Not the most eye-catching pictures, not that exciting by itself, you may think. But this progress represents so much: bringing accessible healthcare to thousands of people for the first time. Saving lives, improving life expectancy, reducing infant mortality, offering better life chances. Just imagine it bustling with medics and patients: priceless. Corridors can be amazing!

25/07/2026

We have some wonderful funding news to share about our Mother and Child emergency unit in Peshawar District, helping secure our goal to provide 24/7 mother and child emergency care to around 24,000 patients annually in one of the highest-ranking regions for mother and infant mortality globally.

Big challenges are easier if you take them step by step: that's how we reached the top of Malo Brdo on our Bosnia hospital fundraising trek.

At 1820 metres, it’s nearly twice as high as Scafell Pike- and it was only our third highest summit of the trek! Every step we took for our incredibly generous supporters and sponsors took us a step closer to our goal. £3 buys a hospital brick (£300 for 100 bricks), all helping us reach our lifesaving goal, so if you are able to "buy us a brick"- you'll help is step even closer!
