All at G21P6 Largs would like to extend our sincere thanks to all current and retired firefighters and officers who attended the funeral of Wc Bowyer yesterday.

Your presence, support, and show of respect were deeply appreciated by everyone. It was a fitting tribute and a testament to the strong bond, dedication, and honour within the service.

Thank you all for standing together in remembrance.

At tomorrows funeral for WC Bowyer the crew will be paying their respects with a guard of honour. If any retired or current serving Fire Fighters would like to be part of it please make yourself aware to the crew when they arrive at the crematorium please 🚒

Come on down to our charity carwash on the 20th June between 10am - 2pm.
All proceeds will be split between Fire Fighters Charity and Skelmorlie Primary School.

We are currently recruiting at Skelmorlie Fire Station. So if you are interested in becoming an On-Call firefighter, come and speak to the crew, who will be able to answer any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity to see what is required of an On-Call firefighter and see what difference you could make in your local community 🚒 🔥

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Watch Commander Peter Bowyer

Peter began his service in June 1987, dedicating over three decades to the role to his local community of Largs with commitment and professionalism. He was promoted to Sub Officer in 1998, where he continued to lead with integrity, experience, and strength. Peter remained a valued and respected member of the service as Watch commander until his retirement in February 2019.
His contribution, leadership, and presence will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

FF David Anderson of G21 Largs is taking part in helping raise money along with Bluewatch Greenock for MND Scotland next month any donations would be greatly appreciated.

👨🏻‍🚒⛰️ Firefighter Phil Moir and his colleagues from Greenock Community Fire Station will be taking on Ben Nevis for MND Scotland next week.

Phil’s dad, Peter, sadly died in November last year after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

The crew will complete the 4,413-foot climb and the descent wearing full fire kit and breathing apparatus to raise money for the charity.
