It is good to see events being hosted at the palace grounds.

Team Up for Wellbeing at the Hamilton Football and Community Sports Day will take place on Sunday 6 September.

The event will feature a competitive 7-a-side football tournament ⚽ alongside free, drop-in sports activities for children and their accompanying adults, including tennis🎾athletics and multisport.

Families can drop in at any time between 11am and 1pm to take part, with no need to stay for the full event.

The day is particularly aimed at encouraging men and families to get active, spend time together and connect with others in a relaxed community setting. It is hoped the event will create opportunities to have positive conversations about mental health, encourage men to look after their wellbeing and make it easier for people to find support when they need it.

Local organisations will be there to offer friendly information and advice on men’s health, mental wellbeing and su***de prevention. The football tournament ⚽ begins at 11am, followed by the trophy 🏆 presentation and closing remarks at 1.15pm.
