Larne Unit were out on duty for the last parade of the marching season. After the busy summer we’ve had the boys definitely deserved those ice creams 🍦😆

Over 5000 runners took on the Antrim Coast half marathon today and our unit was supported by volunteers from the regional team and neighbouring units in providing the medical cover.

We thank everyone who put on the uniform and turned out today.
Together we staffed 2 treatment centres, 8 emergency response teams, 3 ambulances, 2 rapid response cars, 2 cycle responders, and even a Doctor flying about on a quad!
It was some team for one team.

There were plenty of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council events this week for our volunteers to ‘pop up’ at. 😁

You might have seen them at Broadway and the new Pop Up Park having fun while keeping people safe.

Today it was Lynsey, Michelle and Hannah’s turn at the Fleadh in Belfast. 🎻☘️

We also had Kel having fun at the YMCA Larne 🤠🐍

and Stephen away Ulster Rallying 🏁🚗

That’s another record week of hours volunteering for the Larne yins. 💚

It’s half way through summer and the duties just keep on coming!

Lorna, Lynsey and Ian were out at the weekend as we provided medical cover at the Vintage Fair and then the Village BBQ in Carnlough.

Just look at the smile on Ian’s face when he got his ice cream ☺️🍦

Our volunteers were out every day this week providing medical cover at the SuperCup NI matches held at Dixon Park in Ballyclare.

Youth teams from all over the world descended on Northern Ireland and the standard of talent on display was amazing.

We were proud to be a part of such a fantastic sporting event.

🌍 In recent weeks Unit manager LeeAnne has been out covering duties at Ballymena, the North Coast, Tandragee, Belfast, the Isle of Man, as well as all our usual local events in and around Larne. Yesterday she was in Antrim helping our colleagues there provide medical cover for the Pipe Band championships.
