During recent bike patrols in Launceston, it has been observed that a number of vehicles are being left unattended with their windows open.
Residents are reminded of the importance of securing their vehicles, particularly during warmer weather, when opportunistic thefts from vehicles tend to increase.
Devon & Cornwall Police advise that simple steps can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime. These include:

Always locking your vehicle, even if you are only leaving it for a short time
Removing all valuables from sight or taking them with you
Ensuring windows and sunroofs are fully closed
Never leaving keys or spare keys inside the vehicle

Taking a few moments to secure your vehicle can help prevent unnecessary loss and protect your property.

Good morning,

Just to let you know the Launceston Neighbourhood Team we’ll be in the town centre today between 13:00 and 14:00. We’ll be at Costa Coffee, so feel free to come along, say hello, and take a break from the rain with us.

The first Wednesday of the month is normally our Community Beat Surgery around the sector. Unfortunately, with a change in staffing on the Neighbourhood Team and posting for operational reasons, we can't commit to the usual trip around the Sector tomorrow.
Hopefully one of us can make it into the town square 13-1400hrs on Wednesday 03/06/26, but we'll update you in the morning. Apologies for the short notice.
