🌻 Launceston Post Office is proud to be sponsoring this production when it comes to Launceston Town Hall on Friday 14 August. x 🌻

Here's a sneak peak of our poster for Calendar Girls, hopefully we will getting them out and about on display across Liskeard, Launceston, Tavistock, Plymouth and the surrounding areas soon. Our model, Sarah, took that photo (minus the Sunflowers), on the morning of her 60th birthday. Seems to sum up the spirit of both the play and our wonderful cast and crew (well, most of them) socking it to the world in their 'later years'. Sarah, will be at our Gala Charity performance at Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre on 30th July. Have you got your tickets yet....link in the comments.

After passing the Post office interview process in December and being appointed as the operators of the new banking hub coming to Launceston, we’re pleased to announce it will be initially located in the gateway centre temporarily while Cash Access UK look for a permanent location within the town.

Whilst we have very limited information at the moment the banking hub will be operating from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday with a different visiting bank in person on site to help with their customers needs daily.

The timescale at the moment is to be open and operational before the end of June but an official opening date will be confirmed ASAP.

It's incredibly exciting news and we're proud to be able to share what limited information we have at the moment and would like to thank everyone for their patience and look forward to seeing everyone in Launceston Post Office in the mean time for your banking needs.

CHEAPER PARKING IN LAUNCESTON! 🚗🙌

Finally Cornwall Council have listened and thanks to the hard work of locals petitioning, they are trialing £1 for 3 hours parking in the large Cattle Market Car Park on Race Hill, for the next 6 months we believe.

So it’s now easier more than ever to support your local town. Just £1 to park and spend a couple of hours browsing the town, grabbing coffee or lunch, or picking up some essentials. We need to prove to Cornwall Council that cheaper and more accessible parking is wanted, and very much needed to bring footfall back to the town, so spread the word! 📣 Please share 💛

VACANCY
We have a vacancy for a part time shop
Assistant totalling 7.25 hours per week.

Duties will include serving customers on the retail till, stock replenishment and cleaning among other general duties. There is currently no plan to extend the role to PO services as well, however, this may be an option in the long term if the business needs change.

Previous cash handling or retail experience is preferred but not essential. Normal weekly hours would be 8:45am to 1pm every Saturday and 2:30pm to 5:30pm every Wednesday with extra shifts as and when required during staff holidays.

Wage rates would be dependant on age and experience of the applicant.

Start date would be ASAP for on site training with the current staff before serving on your own.

This is a long term position with extra cover essential during holiday periods especially over Christmas.
