Fabulous forensics were on display this morning at Lavenham Library! Our youngest detectives turned out despite the rain to use their solving skills in a range of scientific challenges and discover where Harry the Hedgehog had been on his travels.
Our team of detectives used lots of skills to solve their mystery, including which of a range of animal prints belonged to our wandering hog, testing chemicals in test tubes (which reacted to give various colour clues!) to plot Harry's route and using ink chromatography to trace Harry's steps.
Thanks to the lovely Debbie from Lab in a Library for hosting a brilliant event to complete our summer Reading Quest, and to our Friends group for funding the event so it was free for our children. Thanks also to Gill, Sarah and Marilyn from the Friends group who helped throughout the morning and provided refreshments for our super scientists. The hall was buzzing with excitement throughout the morning and it was fabulous to see the children so engaged in their activities. ๐
