🚔 Drug Dealing Suspect Arrested in Leamington Spa 🚔

We have heard peoples concerns about drug dealing in the Leamington area, we have listened and taken action.

At around 6pm yesterday, plain clothes officers from the Serious Organised Crime Team here at Leamington arrested a male on Elizabeth Road, on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.

The suspect remains in police custody while enquiries continue. 👮‍♂️

🚔 One less shoplifter on the shopping list... 🚔

Prolific shoplifter, Paul Mott, has been caught short after he was charged with multiple Shop Thefts and Breaches of Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) before appearing in court where he has been sentenced to 90 weeks in prison.

Despite being given repeated opportunities over several months by the Courts to change his ways, he continued with his offending, with the court now ensuring he has plenty of time to reflect on his actions.

Mott was brought to justice following investigations by the Business Crime Team, with him being apprehended following a foot chase involving Business crime, SNT and our OPU team.

This is a great effort by officers and partner agencies working together to protect local businesses and keep repeat offenders off our streets and goes to show that you can run but we will always catch up with you!

🚴‍♀️ The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women 2026 has started in Royal Leamington Spa! 🚴‍♀️

And we're off! Stage Five of this year’s race has started right here in Royal Leamington Spa, bringing some of the world’s best female cyclists to our streets! 🏆

It’s a fantastic opportunity to get out, support the riders and enjoy what promises to be an exciting day of racing🙌 The stage, stalls and Fusion Extreme are based at the Pump Room Gardens and we’ll be walking around, so please stop us and say hello!

Please plan ahead if you’re travelling through the area, as there will be temporary road closures and traffic restrictions in place to safely accommodate the event.

Leamington, there’s still time to tell us what matters to you!

This summer, your voice has helped shape our patrols to target the areas that need it most.

See what we’ve done together so far:

✅ You told us that illegal e-bikes and antisocial riding are priorities. In response we’re carrying out operations and have seized nine illegal e-bikes, three e-scooters, issued ten traffic tickets, and are engaging with young people about riding safely.

✅ You told us about concerns around the illegal sale of to***co and vapes. So, we’ve partnered with Trading Standards to take enforcement action against businesses that are hurting our community.

✅ You also told us that nuisance parking is a concern. In response, we’re taking action against vehicles causing obstructions, including towing a van blocking an exit.

It’s not too late to do the survey and tell us what else we need to prioritise. Are you concerned about:

- Road safety?
- Antisocial behaviour in the park?
- Or is the thought of burglary keeping you up at night?

It’s been a busy one today, which means lots of extra eyes 👀 and ears 👂helping out our team.

Our specially-trained plain clothes and uniformed officers have been popping up across the town centre to disrupt criminal activity, encourage vigilance and keep you safe. Thank you to everyone that stopped to speak to officers and learn how important it is to remain vigilant and report anything that you see or hear that doesn't feel right to police.

Project Servator recently launched in our force area. Deployments are unpredictable and use a range of specialist resources – some you can see, like our friendly uniformed officers, police dogs, drones and more. There’s also others you can’t see – like plain clothes officers on every deployment, CCTV monitoring, ANPR and more.

Officers have been out carrying out speed enforcement on:

• Coventry Road, Warwick
• Northumberland Road, Leamington Spa
• Kenilworth Road, Leamington Spa
• A46 at Thickthorn Roundabout

Thank you to the many drivers who were travelling within the speed limit. Our focus is on reducing the risk of collisions and keeping our communities safe.
