🚔 Blue Light Bargains? Not Quite... 🚔

A male has been arrested after helping himself to numerous items from B&M stores across the area without troubling himself with the inconvenience of paying.

After officers located the suspect, he decided his best chance of escape was aboard an e-scooter. Unfortunately for him, PC Tiwary was having absolutely none of it.

In what can only be described as an unplanned demonstration of community policing meets Premiership rugby, PC Tiwary launched himself into action and brought the suspect's journey to an abrupt end.

The male was arrested on suspicion of multiple theft offences and has since swapped his e-scooter for a much less exciting ride in a police vehicle.

A reminder that while B&M may offer great deals, "five-finger discounts" are not currently part of their rewards programme.

Virginia Eales, 73 from Kenilworth, has been charged with assisting an offender.

Her first appearance in court will be on 2 October at Warwickshire Magistrates Court.

This is relating to our investigation into the alleged murder of a man in his 40s in Kenilworth on 20 March 2026.

We responded along with paramedics after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man in a house on Chestnut Avenue just before midnight on 20 March 2026.

Sadly, the man – 45-year-old Carl Stephens – had died.

Thank you to Alison, Mayor of Kenilworth for joining us on our 'Walk With Us' it was great to walk and talk about local issues.
The weather was glorious.
We would love to see more women and girls join us in the future so look out for our next date.

A good walk and talk session with PCSO Davies and PCSO Owen. Shame nobody else joined in, a few last minute cancellations due to the weather. However, we were lucky not to actually need the mayoral umbrella...it stayed dry and it was actually warm in the sunshine.

Some interesting conversations, and an opportunity for me to learn more about their role.

Hopefully Kenilworth and Warwick Rural Police Officers, will be arranging more opportunities to walk with them, keep an eye out on their social media channel.

To parents of Kenilworth, we have had several reports of numerous youths causing nuisance and criminal damage on the Warwick Rd and Abbey End . During this morning at 00.30 onwards.
There are CCTV images of two males we would like to confirm identity and question . These can be found on Kenilworth Vibes page .

The walk is approximately 2 miles at a gentle pace. With this lovely weather, it’s the perfect excuse to get out in the sunshine, have a chat and walk together.
