With the continued hot and dry weather, there is currently a very high risk of wildfires across the country.

You can help keep your home and community safe by:

- Not using barbecues, including disposable barbecues.
- Avoiding lighting fires, firepits, bonfires, campfires, fireworks, or other open flames outdoors.
- Never using a barbecue, firepit or other open flame on a balcony, indoors or in an enclosed space.
- Making sure ci******es and other smoking materials are fully extinguished and disposed of safely. Never throw them from a window or vehicle.
- Taking particular care with litter, especially glass bottles, around dry grass, woodland, and open spaces.
- Not putting hot ashes, coals, or barbecue materials into bins. They can remain hot enough to start a fire for several hours.

If you see a fire, do not attempt to tackle it yourself. Move to a safe place and call 999 immediately.

It's set to be a hot one again today, with heat warnings in place across some areas of the UK 🥵

Huge congratulations to all the winners and runner-ups in the 2026 Stonewater Gardening Competition 🌻

We received more entries than ever before, and the standard was incredibly high. It was clear how much time, dedication and hard work had gone into every garden, making the judges' job extremely difficult. They said,

"Choosing between them was much harder than I expected!"

We’ll use what you tell us to develop what we’re calling ‘Being Seen Blueprints’, which will help us become more visible, connected, and responsive where you live.

The summer holidays have officially started and we're really excited to share these fantastic, free sporting opportunities in Somerset.

Along with three other housing associations, we've funded a number of sessions with Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership. The sessions will take place throughout August in Chard, Highbridge, Yeovil and Bridgwater, and are aimed at children aged 8-18.
