We'd like to say a huge thank you to all our residents, colleagues, partners and stakeholders who have been part of the Mount Green community over the years.

This page will be closing at the end of October, but we'd love for you to stay connected with us through Stonewater UK where we'll continue to share updates, news and information.

What’s been happening this summer? 😎

It's been a busy few months, with customers helping to shape services, sharing feedback, and making a difference in their communities. Highlights include:

- Celebrating our 2026 Gardening Competition winners
- Meeting customers in their communities and developing our Being Seen Blueprints
- Listening to customers in our high-rise buildings
- A staircasing webinar and helpful resources for shared owners
- Reviewing engagement in our retirement living communities
- Opportunities to get involved and help improve our services

Today is World Car Free Day, a chance to encourage people worldwide to leave their cars at home and embrace sustainable transport.

We're committed to sustainability, whether that's through our Retrofit programme, planting trees and creating greenspaces or looking at new technologies that are environmentally friendly.

This World Car Free Day, we'd love to hear from the keen cyclists out there!

We know it's not always easy to store a bike, so we'd love to hear your storage solutions. Are you keeping it in your home, a communal area or your own outdoor storage? As part of our mission to be more sustainable, we'd also like to know whether you'd use an undercover bike storage, provided by us.

Let us know in the comments what you use now, and if an undercover bike storage is something you'd find useful! 🚲

With the continued hot and dry weather, there is currently a very high risk of wildfires across the country.

You can help keep your home and community safe by:

- Not using barbecues, including disposable barbecues.
- Avoiding lighting fires, firepits, bonfires, campfires, fireworks, or other open flames outdoors.
- Never using a barbecue, firepit or other open flame on a balcony, indoors or in an enclosed space.
- Making sure ci******es and other smoking materials are fully extinguished and disposed of safely. Never throw them from a window or vehicle.
- Taking particular care with litter, especially glass bottles, around dry grass, woodland, and open spaces.
- Not putting hot ashes, coals, or barbecue materials into bins. They can remain hot enough to start a fire for several hours.

If you see a fire, do not attempt to tackle it yourself. Move to a safe place and call 999 immediately.

It's set to be a hot one again today, with heat warnings in place across some areas of the UK 🥵

🏅 And the winners are...🏅

Huge congratulations to all the winners and runner-ups in the 2026 Stonewater Gardening Competition 🌻

We received more entries than ever before, and the standard was incredibly high. It was clear how much time, dedication and hard work had gone into every garden, making the judges' job extremely difficult. They said,

"Choosing between them was much harder than I expected!"

We're so grateful to everyone who took part and shared their gardening stories with us. We hope you enjoy looking through the entries, and reading about the people and passion behind each garden. 🌼
