For 50 years, people have walked through the doors at St Anne’s Alcohol Services and found support, met people who understood, and started to change their lives.

If you’ve been part of that, whether you’ve used the service, worked here, volunteered, or supported someone who has, we’d love to see you again.

We’re bringing people together to mark 50 years of the service. A chance to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate the impact St Anne’s Alcohol Services has made.

Left Bank, Leeds
Friday 26 June
12:00 – 3:30pm

Please share this with anyone you’re still in touch with from your time at St Anne’s and help us spread the word.

We’re also creating a collection of real stories from people connected to St Anne’s, brought together in a book to mark the 50th year.

We’d love to hear your story. It could be a poem, a written piece, artwork, photography, or anything creative that feels right for you.

Message us for the full details and event page!

Nathaniel’s confidence has grown through having the right support around him. He’s been able to build skills, develop routines and grow in ways that matter to him.

That’s what being a Shared Lives carer is all about. Supporting someone to feel supported and confident enough to live life in their own way.

Stalking isn’t always obvious. It can start as a feeling of unease, like being watched, persistent contact, or people turning up where you are. Over time, it can affect every part of someone’s life.

This week is National Stalking Awareness Week.

If something doesn’t feel right, trust that instinct. Keeping a note of what’s happening, even if it feels hard to explain, can really help. And you don’t have to deal with it alone.

If you need more information or support, these resources may help:

Safer Steps has information about what stalking is.

has loads of helpful resources, including an online “Am I being stalked?” assessment.

has guidance on online stalking and how to secure your tech

has practical safety tips for people affected by stalking

You can also speak to someone for confidential support:
National Stalking Helpline: 0808 802 0300
Victim & Witness Services: [email protected]
Safer Places: 03301 025 811

Did you know we’re starting something new here in Hull?

We’re launching a brand new outreach service supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, and we’re looking for a Registered Manager in Hull who wants to help shape it from the very beginning.

You’d be stepping into something that’s still being created, helping build a social care outreach service, grow a local team, and make sure support really works for the people who rely on it day in, day out.

If leading with care, strong values and a real connection to the community matters to you, this could be your next chapter.

If you’d like to know more, comment “Hull” below and we’ll be in touch.

This is John’s space and every part of it reflects what matters to him. John worked hard to organise his room, sort through his things and decide how he wanted the space to look, feel and work for him. From choosing colours and furniture, to creating areas for gaming, relaxing and switching off, this was all about making the room his own.

Since the makeover, John has put systems in place to keep things organised too – including labelled baskets and a simple cleaning schedule that works for him.

It’s a calm, personal space where John can relax, play games and enjoy his independence. And it looks amazing too!
