Some important information from 0-19 Public Health Integrated Nursing Service for keeping babies cool in this hot weather

💧 Water for Babies – What You Need to Know 💧

As your baby grows and starts solids, their hydration needs change. Knowing when and how to introduce water can help keep them healthy and happy.
✔️ From around 6 months, you can offer small sips of water with meals
✔️ Breastfed babies don’t need water before solids
✔️ In hot weather, feeding patterns may change
✔️ Formula-fed babies under 6 months may need a little extra during warm days

Before potty training starts, children need lots of chances to learn. Children learn best through practice and repetition, with help and support from adults. Introducing the potty from early age helps to encourage readiness for potty independence and moving on from nappies.
Potty / toilet training is one of the topics that we will be discussing with you at your child's development reviews at both 8-12 months and 27 months.
You can also find lots of helpful tips on the ERIC website:

Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week with LLeeds Mental Wellbeing Service

This week (4–10 May) is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness of mental health challenges before, during, and after pregnancy.
1 in 4 women experience maternal mental health difficulties, so it’s important that no one feels alone and that support is available.
Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service prioritises access and support, for the birthing person and their partner during pregnancy and up to one year after birth.
You do not need a professional referral, you can self-refer online or call 0113 843 4388.
