☀️HOT WEATHER UPDATE!☀️
This week, we are expecting very high temperatures. Our top priority is to ensure that all of our children remain safe, cool, and comfortable while they are learning and playing at school.
To help them stay as comfortable as possible, we are putting a few temporary measures in place for the week ahead.
👕 Relaxed Uniform: Children are welcome to come to school in clothing that is similar to our standard PE kits—such as lightweight shorts and T-shirts. Please ensure that all outfits are appropriate for school activities and provide suitable sun coverage (e.g., shoulders
should be covered to prevent sunburn, and sensible shoes/trainers should be worn).
💧 Staying Hydrated: It is absolutely vital that your child brings a refillable water bottle to school every single day. We will be providing frequent opportunities throughout the day for the children to refill their bottles and stay hydrated.
🧢 Sun Protection Checklist: Please apply high-factor, long-lasting sunscreen to your child before they come to school in the morning. Children are also welcome to bring their own bottle of suncream into school to reapply independently throughout the day if needed. Please ensure they know how to apply it themselves, as staff are unable to do this for them. Additionally, we strongly encourage children to bring a sun hat or cap to wear during outdoor break times.
☀️ When it is deemed hottest and the sun is at its strongest, we will ensure that children remain in shaded areas. The classrooms will have blinds down and appropriate ventilation.
