Traffic news Temple Newsam:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because new sewer and cable ductworks are required for on or near the under mentioned highway(s), Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along New Temple Gate and Temple Avenue, Halton, Leeds in the Temple Newsam Ward between its junctions with Temple Newsam Road and Grove Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: New Temple Gate - Temple Newsam Road, Selby Road (B6159), To the Roundabout, Selby Road (B6159), Temple Gate,Templegate GRN, Templegate Avenue, New Temple Gate and Temple Close. Temple Newsam Road - Temple Close, New Temple Gate, Templegate Avenue, Templegate GRN ,Temple Gate, Selby Road (B6159), Irwin Approach, Temple Newsam Road.

Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

The works are expected to take place from Monday 8th June 2026 to Friday 17th July 2026.

Reform Party Leeds East has had our first taste of the council chamber. We have managed to secure places on a lot of the boards that can make decisions across Leeds, making a real difference to our communities.
We will push forward this year and we will be laying our foundations into next year and beyond.
We said we would do it and we did, 10 Cllrs is a positive start.

We will be fully up and running after inductions and the first council meeting on May 20th. Our 10 Reform councillors will focus on delivering value for money for your council tax.
