We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to join our Utilities division based in Leeds.
THE ROLE
The Senior Field Service Engineer is a key operational leadership position within the business. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with team leadership, client liaison, project coordination, and site management responsibilities.
You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while acting as the link between site operations, project management, and senior leadership. The successful candidate will lead teams, support project delivery from initial site surveys through to completion, and play an active role in developing engineering solutions for our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
β’ Lead and support the development of engineering solutions both on-site and in-house.
β’ Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
β’ Coordinate and supervise operational teams across multiple projects.
β’ Liaise with clients, Project Managers, suppliers, and senior management.
β’ Conduct site surveys and gather technical information to support project planning and estimating.
β’ Maintain accurate project documentation and digital records.
β’ Manage site compliance, permits, inductions, toolbox talks, and handovers.
β’ Promote a strong health and safety culture across all operations.
β’ Support resource planning and team allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
β’ Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and development support to operational staff.
β’ Identify and resolve engineering and operational challenges.
β’ Prepare reports, technical drawings, and site observation documentation as required.
ABOUT YOU
You will have a strong technical background within the utilities or related engineering sectors and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
