🌞🚨Bin collections will be starting earlier on Wednesday and Thursday because of the heatwave🌞🚨

Please put your bin out the night before, as crews will begin collections from 5:30am to avoid the main heat of the day.

Each crew empties around 1,200 wheelie bins a day - that's around 18 tonnes of the city's rubbish! It's tough, physical work - even more so in a hot weather. Starting earlier when it's cooler will help them get the job done.

Please let your friends and neighbours know to put their bins out the night before and thanks for helping keep our crews safe this week👏

Do you keep running out of recycling space in your green bin😇 ? Here's some ways to make more room👉
1) pull the corners up on cartons to flatten them
2) squish plastic bottles and put the lid back on
3) break down boxes

Time to "brush" up on your re-use by donating those old tins of half used paint hidden away in cupboards or garages. All our household recycling sites accept paint which gets recycled by Seagulls Paint here in !
