📖 The story so far: evaluating the impact of Office for Veterans' Affairs Reducing Veterans' Homelessness programme
🛏️£14m invested to date in Op FORTITUDE and grants to organisations supporting veterans at risk of or experiencing homelessness
💡Goal is to strengthen service capacity, enabling providers to better meet veterans' diverse needs.
🌍 Alma Economics commissioned to evaluate the programme's impact for OVA

📊Second interim report found that:

09/07/2026

“The impact has been wonderful, and the difference we have witnessed in the children’s abilities in such a short period of time has been very positive.”

👆This is just one example of the feedback we’ve received from projects supported through our Early Years Programme - showing the real difference the right support can make for young children from serving armed forces families.

👉The programme offers funding for projects that strengthen childcare and early learning, helping settings respond to the unique needs and experiences of young service children.

Could your setting be next to make that difference?

⏰Applications are open until 12pm on Wednesday 15 July.

Real talk: if future support is going to work for the whole armed forces community, we need to hear from more of it.

So here’s our question:

👇 Who do you think isn't being heard enough?

Maybe it's:
• reservists
• military carers
• bereaved families
• military children
• female veterans

Or someone else entirely!

Tell us below so we can start the conversation.

Partners of serving personnel often balance careers, family life, moves and uncertainty alongside the demands of military life.
The Supporting Partners programme is here to fund projects that recognise those experiences and offer practical support - helping partners build confidence, strengthen wellbeing and access meaningful employment opportunities.

Grants of £10,000-£150,000 are available for projects running for up to three years.

If your organisation can help create support that makes a real difference to partners of serving personnel, we’d love to hear from you.
