Today in DT, the children in Falcons made healthy wraps. They learned how to use the claw and bridge cutting techniques safely to prepare ingredients. The children carefully chopped lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, and peppers and practised their grating skills by grating carrots. Then they spread hummus and soft cheese onto their wraps before adding the prepared vegetables and rolled it after. Aviary wraps .

Year 5 Science!

This week, we investigated the viscosity of different liquids! We discovered that greek yogurt was the thickest, taking the longest to travel past our marker line. We also created mind maps to explore and categories different properties and substances, demonstrating our scientific knowledge and understanding.

In PSHE, Year 5 explored the importance of teamwork and communication! Working in different roles, children took on the challenge of using 5 pieces of paper to hold the equipment. Some children gave instructions while others had to listen carefully and follow the steps. We learnt that clear communication, cooperation and valuing everyone’s role are essential for a successful team!
