1980's mural defaced by graffiti

A resident recently raised their concerns over this mural from 1988 that has now been defaced by graffiti. I've raised the issue with Leeds City Council and will be pushing for it to get cleaned asap.

The mural is a non-designated heritage asset in the Mabgate Conservation Area so will also be informing Leeds Civic Trust about it.

Earlier today I decided to clean up this street sign, only to discover a racist symbol has been etched onto it. The sign has now been reported to Leeds City Council for urgent repairs.

Great to see the police out today around Concord Street after I informed them of residents' concerns around parcel thefts.

They talked to local residents and provided advice on what steps to take to prevent the thefts and catch the culprits.

Police van to visit for information on parcel thefts...

After discussing with the local police team, they've agreed to the engagement van visiting the bottom of Concord Street on Leylands Road on Saturday, the 7th March, from 9am to 10:30.

This is an opportunity for residents to discuss their concerns with the police regarding parcel thefts and any other crime issues they have in the local area.

I'll be dropping by as well but the more people that turn up and explain what's been happening then the more likely they'll be to take further enforcement action.

Please share widely with anyone else you know living in the area.
