📢 RSPB Coombes Valley Temporary Closure Notice
Please be aware that RSPB Coombes Valley will be closed on Wednesday 12 August due to a road closure affecting access to the reserve.
As the road closure will make the car park inaccessible, both the Visitor Centre and car park will be closed for the day.
Got your heart set on a woodland walk? 🌳 Why not visit RSPB Consall Woods instead! With beautiful woodland trails, wildlife, and stunning views, it's a great alternative while Coombes Valley is closed.

🌸 Greater Butterfly Orchids at RSPB Coombes Valley 🌸
Our beautiful Greater Butterfly Orchids have burst into flower over the weekend and are putting on a truly stunning show! 🌿✨
You can find them in the field next to the Visitor Centre—now is the perfect time to visit and enjoy them at their very best. Don’t miss this seasonal highlight! 💚

🌿💪 The trees offered little shelter yesterday to our amazing volunteers tackling the invasive Himalayan Balsam at RSPB Consall Woods — what a team 👏💚
Meanwhile, our VC Volunteers at RSPB Coombes Valley have also been on hand despite the weather, ready to welcome those who braved the rain this week☔🌱

🌿🦋 A lovely find at RSPB Coombes Valley! 🦋🌿
While out working on site, our Warden Paul came across these two beauties – the stunning Heath Spotted Orchid and a Dingy Skipper butterfly.
The Dingy Skipper, in particular, is a special sight, as this species has sadly seen significant declines in recent years.
Despite the overcast weather, these were fantastic finds out on site 💚
