πΏ Our Community Garden β A Space for Everyone to Enjoy! πΏπ
I really want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been using, enjoying and respecting our lovely Team Hub Community Garden. πͺ΄πΈ
I also want to gently mention that weβve had a few young people and young adults using the garden to smoke cannabis. This is only a very small number of individuals, and I really donβt want this to take away from all the wonderful young people who use and enjoy the space responsibly.
Our garden has been created for the whole community, from our very youngest children to our elderly residents. Itβs a place where everyone should feel comfortable, safe and welcome.
We completely understand that young people need somewhere to meet, relax and spend time with friends, and they are just as welcome in the garden as everyone else. π
We do, however, kindly ask everyone using the garden to behave respectfully and considerately at all times. This means being mindful of language, noise, smoking and any behaviour that may make others feel uncomfortable or unable to enjoy the space.
We especially ask that people avoid smoking cannabis in the garden, out of respect for the children, families and older residents who share this space.
This isnβt about singling anyone out or making anyone feel unwelcome. Itβs simply about showing respect, being considerate of others and remembering that this garden belongs to everyone. β€οΈ
Weβve all worked so hard, alongside our wonderful volunteers, partners and local residents, to create something special for New Parks, and we want everyone to continue enjoying it.
πΈ A little respect, kindness and consideration from all of us will help keep our community garden a safe, welcoming and positive place for every generation. πΏπand a place that we can put on community events.
Thank you all for your understanding and continued support. β€οΈ
