NO JOKE FOR SOME 🔆
The UKHSA has issued a red heat health alert for the East Midlands this week
UK muggy heat
There were 1,504 heat associated deaths in England during the Summer of 2025, across five heat-health episodes. This figure was significantly lower than the predicted 3,039 deaths; a decrease likely driven by the systemic implementation of early warning alerts
Please check on any elderly relatives or neighbours, who may be finding things really difficult right now. Those with poor health conditions as well. Constant excessive heat can be a real danger.
