SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
Heacham Drive area, Police update

Report of two men knocking on doors late at night, asking about a FedEx parcel. They have also reportedly been looking through car and house windows.

At this stage, we don’t know who they are, or whether there is a genuine reason behind it. However, we feel it’s important to raise awareness, and encourage everyone to take extra precautions.

🔒 Please make sure your doors and windows are locked, especially at night.

🚗 Keep valuables out of sight in your car, and check that it is locked.

🚪 Don’t open your door to anyone you’re not expecting. Speak through the door or use a doorbell/intercom if you have one.

👀 If you see anything suspicious, make a note of descriptions, clothing, vehicles and registration numbers, but only if it is safe to do so.

TREE WORKS..🌳
Bennion Pools spinney, by Churchbell Way. Work to commence to remove diseased ash, and the trees have been marked. Some are right by the path. It is not clear when the felling will commence, but the bridle path will be affected..

MORE DOG ISSUES 🐕‍🦺
Report in Fri 28th Aug

⚠️ An alsatian sized and similar looking dog, is said to have been attacking a few dogs again in the Bluegates Rd area. It also apparently attacked an older man and lacerated his arms, plus broke his glasses. The Police are said to know all about the incidents, and have been to talk to the dog's owner.

Previous incident
Report reminder from February, of a woman walking her two dogs on the path at the top of Bluegates at about 5:30am. A man approached with a golden retriever, and a brindle German/Dutch Shepherd looking dog, which was off lead. The dog attacked both of the woman's dogs. One of her dogs ran off, and the other was pinned down. The report says the man then punched his dog a number of times, to get it to let go..

Another report in today of a black dog same size, that comes from Boston Road. Said to run after children, and runs loose around the CHCP meadow on the Bluegates quarter where it bin raids

MOTORBIKES RECOVERED

Officers have successfully recovered two stolen motorbikes, following proactive patrol activity in the area. As a result of enquiries carried out by officers, one male was arrested in connection with the incident and investigations remain ongoing..
