PC572 & PCSO 6563 have removed one vehicle and advised the owner of another vehicle for obstructing the public pathway yesterday. Following complaints from residents in the area there were 2 vehicles that appeared to be parked in front of garages, however, were pulled so far forward, that pedestrians and anyone with pushchairs, mobility scooters and such like would have to walk onto the road. One owner was advised and duly moved his vehicle to a more sensible position and the one shown in the picture above was checked and found that it had no MOT since December 2025 & no tax since April 2026.

Vehicle duly removed much to the joy of the local community who came out to speak to us as well as asking some extremely relevant questions about what is going on in the area.

Advice given.

🚓🏘️ Community ASB Engagement Update 🏘️🚓

Yesterday, PC 1511 Darbar and PC 993 Makda joined the PA Housing ASB Officer for a visit to Cropthorne Avenue and Avonside Drive to speak with local residents and address concerns around anti-social behaviour.

✅ Residents were engaged and listened to regarding ongoing issues in the area.
✅ Positive action was taken against a neighbour who had been causing persistent problems.
✅ Partnership working continues to help make our communities safer and improve the quality of life for residents.

🚔 Drink Driving Reminder | East Leicester Neighbourhood Team 🚔

PC 1527 and PC 1511 from the East Dedicated Neighbourhood Team recently attended a 999 emergency call after reports that a vehicle had collided with a brick front garden wall.

Following enquiries at the scene, the driver was identified and found to be over the prescribed alcohol limit. The driver was arrested and has since been charged with a drink-driving offence.

Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured. However, this incident serves as an important reminder of the potentially devastating consequences of driving after consuming alcohol.

Decisions made in a moment can have lifelong consequences for drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.

🍺❌ If you're drinking, don't drive. ✅ Arrange a designated driver. ✅ Book a taxi. ✅ Use public transport. ✅ Stay overnight if necessary.

With changing weather conditions and darker evenings approaching, please take extra care on our roads and help keep yourself and others safe.

Drink driving is never worth the risk.

It’s been a busy shift focused on listening, reassuring and working with our local community. 🤝🏘️

📋 FIRST STOP: TEAM BRIEFING

The shift started with a briefing where the Duty Sergeant discussed 👇

🔹 Local policing priorities
🔹 Current crime and concerns
🔹 Tasking and areas requiring attention

Then it was time to get out into the community! 🚶‍♂️🚔

❤️ SUPPORTING VICTIMS

PCSO 6072 visited a victim of crime, listened to their concerns and provided reassurance that the matter is being dealt with appropriately. 🤝

👋🗣️ OUT & ABOUT WITH YOU

Later, PCSO 6072 was out patrolling the beat, both on foot 🚶‍♂️ and in a marked police vehicle 🚔, speaking with local residents and listening to concerns about issues affecting the area.

🏠🤝 WORKING WITH OUR PARTNERS

PCSO 6072 also attended an address alongside the Community Safety Team following concerns about ongoing issues.

Warning letters were issued to the occupants, with the aim of addressing the concerns and improving the situation for those living nearby. 📩🏘️

Officers have been conducting high visibility patrols in and around the Belgrave community - We remain committed to keeping our community safe and providing reassurance to residents and businesses.

✅ Be aware of your surroundings.
✅ Keep jewellery and valuables out of sight.
✅ Maintain a safe distance from strangers.
✅ Be cautious if someone tries to touch, hug or distract you.

🚩 Report suspicious behaviour to the police.
🚩 Call 999 if an incident is happening or there is an immediate danger

Earlier this week, PCSO Cook attended NatWest Bank on East Park Road for a community beat surgery.

It was a positive session with good engagement from both staff and visitors, and no concerns or issues were raised.
