Do you want your leadership to have a direct and lasting impact on people affected by domestic abuse?

We are looking for two experienced, compassionate and motivated Domestic Abuse Service Managers to lead and develop our specialist services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Due to the nature of the role this post is open to women only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1 and subject to enhanced DBS checks.

On Tuesday we used our voice to speak out in the media again about the huge risk posed to survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG) by the early release scheme. The reality is that releasing these perpetrators early from prison is not in the interest of public safety and many women and children are understandably frightened.

We are committed to helping survivors at this difficult time and have agreed to work with the Ministry of Justice to deliver a fund which provides some support to those impacted by the scheme – you can find more on this here https://womensaid.org.uk/womens-aid-working-in-partnership-to-support-survivors-impacted-by-the-early-release-scheme-through-new-fund/.

This cannot and will not remove the danger they face – to do that the government must exempt VAWG perpetrators from the scheme.

You can listen again to some of the interviews here: https://www.thetimes.com/radio/show/20260901-34396/2026-09-01?login=true Listen here between 1hr 07 - 1hr 19.

A huge thank you to Lush for their amazing donation of toiletries and treats for our clients! 💚

We love being able to provide our clients with pick-me-up surprises, and these thoughtful goodies have arrived at the perfect time as the seasons begin to change and summer comes to an end.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us bring a little extra joy to those we support!

🛒 Can You Support Our Clients With Food Donations?

WALL is currently seeking store‑cupboard food donations to help support clients accessing our services. These items play a vital role in two key ways:

- They help us provide essentials to clients as they move into accommodation, ensuring they have what they need from day one.

- They act as a safety net for anyone who may fall on hard times, offering immediate support when it’s needed most.

If you’re able to help by donating non‑perishable food items, we would be incredibly grateful 🫶

📩 To donate, please contact: [email protected]

Your kindness makes a real difference to the individuals and families we support.
