🎞️ Throwback Time! 🎞️

Do you remember when Wot About Ratby first landed through letterboxes back in December 1986? 🖤

Issue 1 marked the beginning of a community newsletter packed with local stories, memories, and village spirit.

From Scout Group updates to parish happenings, it’s amazing to look back at how Ratby kept everyone connected before emails and social media! 📮✨

Who remembers reading these when they first came out? Or maybe spotting a familiar name inside? 👀

🚧 Emergency Road Closure – Chapel Lane, Ratby 🚧

Residents are advised that an emergency road closure is now in place on Chapel Lane, Ratby from 18 May 2026 for up to 21 days due to urgent repair works following a burst water main. The works are expected to be completed within approximately 3 days.

💧 The closure has been put in place by Leicestershire County Council Highways to allow Severn Trent Water and their contractors to carry out repairs safely.

✅ Access to properties will be maintained where possible, although short delays may occur while the area is made safe.
🚗 A signed diversion route will be in operation.
