This weekend, Jade (Daisy Diamond) and the incredible Toxic Treads team will take on an amazing challenge in support of Lamp.
From 22 to 24 May, the team will walk the National Forest Way across three days, covering an incredible 75 miles from the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire to Beacon Hill Country Park in Leicestershire.
Their challenge includes:
🥾 Day 1: 30 miles
🥾 Day 2: 24 miles
🥾 Day 3: 21 miles
Jade teaches adult dance classes across Leicestershire with a focus on body positivity, confidence, wellbeing and creating supportive spaces where people can move, laugh, connect and build friendships. Over the years, Jade and her dancers have already raised funds for local charities through events including Burlesque-a-thons and live shows.
Now they are taking on their biggest challenge yet and have already raised an incredible £1,200+ for Lamp.
Mental health affects all of us in different ways and Jade shared that walking and dancing are two of the things that help most when life feels difficult. We are incredibly grateful that they chose Lamp for this challenge.
Every pound raised helps us continue providing independent mental health advocacy across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, supporting people to be heard, understood and empowered. Advocacy remains at the heart of everything we do.
