Disgusting graffiti has appeared on a bench at Pear Tree. What’s particularly frustrating is that grounds staff will now have to divert valuable time and resources away from their regular duties to clean up this vandalism. Our parks and open spaces belong to everyone and deserve to be treated with respect.

⚠️ Wilful Damage to Children's Play Area ⚠️

Two individuals were caught on CCTV riding electric scooters in a children's play area and performing burnouts on the safety surface beneath the toddler cradle swings.

The resulting tyre marks have damaged the surface and left it looking a mess. This equipment is provided for young children to enjoy safely, and damage like this is completely unacceptable.

The footage has been retained and the incident has been reported to the police. Please respect community facilities and the children who use them.

ELLIS PARK PUBLIC TOILETS

This is the state our public toilets were left in today between 8.00 am and 3.44 pm.

Vandalism, rubbish thrown across the floor, balloons forced into the toilet, water everywhere and complete disrespect for a facility provided for the whole community.

These toilets are cleaned and maintained at public expense and our staff should not have to deal with scenes like this.

If this behaviour continues, Glenfield Parish Council will have no option but to CLOSE the public toilets at Ellis Park.

Please help us protect community facilities by reporting vandalism and encouraging respect for shared public spaces.

YOU TRASH IT — WE CLOSE IT.
