We recently celebrated Fostival 2026 🀸 πŸŽͺ ⚽

Fostival is our annual summer event that we hold for our entire fostering family. More than 200 guests, including young people in care, birth children, foster carers, kinship carers, Supported Lodgings Hosts and Independent Visitors, attended this year.

The event gives the fostering team a chance to recognise our wider community, spend quality time together and celebrate progress and achievements. It forms part of the comprehensive support package we offer, and is just one of the reasons why fostering with Leicestershire is the right choice πŸ’™

πŸŽˆπŸ™Œ We’re thrilled to announce that the Independent Visitors team has seen their numbers hit the century mark, with 100 volunteers now registered with the scheme.

Independent Visitors are approved adults who spend a few hours a month with the young people doing fun activities, such as walking in the park, going to the cinema or eating at a restaurant.

Between them, they have supported over 200 young people in care since 2020.
