Unfortunately due to the current circumstances, we are unable to host our regular weekly meetings in person, and due to the importance of these meetings to the MUN experience, we have taken the decision to postpone all meetings until second semester.

We are hosting an online session via Microsoft Teams today at 6pm where we will answer any questions you may have. Please respond to this post with your email if you would like to attend.

Greetings all,

As you might have heard, we sent a delegation to Leeds this weekend to take part in the LeedsMUN 2020 conference! Those who travelled enjoyed the city and culture of Leeds and we were fortunate enough to pick up a few of the awards. Our secretary, Huzefa, received plaudits for his performance as Chair of the UNHRC and was given the honour of chairing the General Assembly towards the end of the conference. Our president, Conor, went home with an honourable mention!

Our biggest congratulations go to our member Henry Wu, who did excellently on the UNGA-6 (Legal) committee, representing Senegal he held his own against many experienced MUNers and won the Best Delegate award, taking home a gavel with a performance to be proud of.

With this success to be proud of, we hope you will join us in our usual weekly meeting on Wednesday at 6pm in Bennett Lecture Theatre 5. We will be discussing the Arab Spring, particularly what we can do to help the region in the aftermath with unstable governments, corruption and autocracy all major issues. We'll be posting available countries on the facebook as ever so if you want to reserve one, please do!

Hi everyone!

As usual, we will be hosting our weekly meeting in Bennett Lecture Theatre 5 at 6pm on Wednesday, so come and join us!

Our topic this week will be Migration, Integration and Sustainability. This will involve us discussing the impact of migration on society, and the welfare of migrant workers. As usual, the list of available countries is posted below, so if you have a country in mind you want to take then please comment on this post. If not, feel free to turn up and pick a country on the day!

In other news, we need people to signal their intention for LivMUN, held in Liverpool from 6th-8th March. We have a few committee members attending this conference, so we'd be delighted to be joined by as many of you as possible!

Finally, we have a different kind of social this week. Through our partners in Politics soc, History soc and English soc, we will be going on a bar crawl with them after the meeting on Wednesday! An excellent opportunity to meet new people, or just to let your hair down at a few bars across the city centre! The poster for this event is attached, so feel free to come along.

Hey everyone! We hope you've had a great weekend and a good start to your week!

This week we're doing something different, inspired by the Oscar-nominated film 1917 and we're having a CRISIS SESSION based on WORLD WAR ONE where you will be able to assume the role of the Great Powers that clashed over dominance in Europe and globally, in one of the most decisive moments of the war, 1917! So, pick a country and change history! Help the German Empire achieve its place in the sun or contribute to its eventual defeat! Fight against the Bolsheviks in Russia or join them in the revolution! And many more historical turning points available for you to shape with your choices!

Join us on Wednesday 29th of January at 18:00 at Bennet Lecture Theatre 5! Bring your friends along as well, after all in World War One there's room for everyone...! We look forward to seeing you all there!
