Highlights of Jess & Dave’s Mighty Miles Challenge for Rainbows Children’s Hospice- 28th July 2026

Here is the highlights video from Jess & Dave’s Mighty Miles Challenge yesterday including Dave’s Fall 🤦 watch to see it!

Rainbows is the only children’s hospice in the East Midlands and relies on public donations. Both Jess and Dave met up with Rainbows at their HQ to see first hand what donations do to help rainbows and their work is incredible.

The JustGiving page will be open for another two weeks for you all to keep donating to this amazing hospice.

Tomorrow, Jess & Dave take on their Mighty Miles Challenge in support of Rainbows Childrens Hospice

Earlier this year, they set themselves the challenge of raising money for the only children's hospice serving the East Midlands, and that's how the Mighty Miles Challenge was born.

Their challenge is no small feat! They'll be tackling 32km (20 miles) across multi-terrain paths, with a total elevation gain of 606 metres. It's going to be a tough day, but they're ready to give it their all for an incredible cause.

Jess & Dave both work at Acorn Fostering based in Leicester, and have both seen the amazing work Rainbows Children's Hospice does for local children and families. They knew this was the charity they wanted to support.

💜 Can you help them make a difference? Every donation, big or small, will help Rainbows continue providing vital care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Jess & Dave’s Mighty 20 Miles for Rainbows Children’s Hospice

Yesterday, Jess and Dave visited Rainbows Children’s Hospice in Loughborough. Seeing first-hand the support they provide to children with life-limiting conditions and their families was incredibly inspiring.

We came away with an even greater appreciation of just how important services like this are—not only for the children they care for, but also for the parents, brothers and sisters navigating incredibly challenging circumstances.

Rainbows is the only children’s hospice in the East Midlands and relies heavily on donations to continue its vital work.

To help support them, Jess and Dave will be walking 20 miles next Tuesday to raise funds for this amazing charity. If you're able to make a donation, no matter how small, it would be hugely appreciated by us and help Rainbows continue making a real difference
to local families.

We’re excited to be hosting a Bake Off event as part of Foster Care Fortnight! 🧁 The Fostering Network

This is a fantastic opportunity for our children, young people, carers, and staff to come together, get creative, and enjoy some friendly competition. From show-stopping cakes to simple sweet treats, the focus is on having fun, building connections, and celebrating the strong sense of community within our fostering agency.

Events like this help create positive experiences, encourage participation, and give everyone a chance to share their talents (and enjoy some delicious bakes along the way!).

If you’re interested in learning more about fostering, we warmly invite you to come along to the event. It’s a great opportunity to meet our team, ask questions, and find out how you could make a difference in a child or young person’s life.
