I am so proud of my staff members and volunteers for making the playground the place that it is today and hopefully being able to be to be open for generations to come….. this award just shows the impact and how valuable Adventure Playgrounds are…. Not only to the kids that use them but how much they impact on the workers, volunteers it’s a magic place to work ….. and also the joy they give us…. I’ve been off for a week and I am already missing hearing the kids laughing and shouting and playing And saying the Mel Mel Mel

Wow, what an amazing 24 hours for the Vench! Last night, we went to the BBC Make a Difference Awards event and WE WON BEST COMMUNITY GROUP!

We were also honoured with a High Sheriff Award!

It was an incredible celebration and we are so thankful to all our brilliant staff for the work they do.

If that wasn't enough, we were then on the BBC Radio Leicester breakfast show this morning, followed by live national television coverage on BBC Morning Live!

We will share loads more from the celebrations soon but for now, we just want to say thank you to everyone. It is so special to have the Vench recognised on a massive platform like this and it just shows how important the Adventure Playgrounds in Leicester are. We are PROUD to be BRAUNSTONE forever!

A few brilliant pics of our end of play scheme fun day, had a great afternoon and kids had so much fun but everyone ended up absolutely filthy covered in colour powder.
Want to say a massive thank you to all our visitors
Lord Mayor of Leicester who enjoyed beating the kids at pool, deputy Mayor Susan Barton, The guys from the BBC and Dr Ranj who were absolutely lovely 😊 and all the staff and volunteers that have worked so so hard this summer. 🥵

Lovely harvest from our garden hopefully use them for snacks and toppings for pizzas 🍕
