Boat moorings

We have river and still-water moorings for cruisers, narrow boats and wide-beams of varying sizes with mains water and electric hookups.

Day boats and smaller craft are also welcome.

Many of our moorings are parallel to the bank with their own bank-side space, a view across water and for some, further across open fields.

From the entrance to the Park it is a short 2-3 minute walk up into the village with its shops, small supermarket, post office, hair dresser, pubs, takeaways, railway station, cafes etc.

Boat storage is also available.

Camping

Come and relax in a rural setting and enjoy getting a little closer to nature:

Touring or camping pitches with electric hook-ups are available with easy access to the village.

For the more adventurous there is the opportunity to set up in the area around the lake and by the river, further from services but closer to nature.

Our toilet and shower facilities are basic “no frills” and are cleaned frequently.

Use of barbeques and similar is welcome as long as they are raised off the ground so that the grass is unaffected.

You are welcome to bring a boat or canoe to use on the river or lake.

"Seasonal" pitches for Touring caravans

Keep your "touring" caravan on the Park throughout the year and use it as a static:

With a choice of fees available you can decide whether to go "all-inclusive" or "pay and stay". Either way you will enjoy the convenience of using your touring caravan without necessarily having to hitch it to the back of your car.

Touring caravans can always be taken off the park, perhaps for a summer holiday break, and a pitch will be available for your return.

So, if parking space for a caravan at home is limited, you are concerned that people will know you are away because your caravan is not there, or you want to avoid towing, please contact the Park Office for more information.
