Today, we celebrate a truly remarkable milestone as we wish a very happy retirement to Mr Hanley.

Over many years, Mr Hanley has been instrumental in shaping and supporting SEND education, making a significant contribution not only within Expanse but across the wider sector. His dedication, knowledge and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children and young people with additional needs have left a lasting legacy that will continue to be felt for many years to come.

Throughout his career, he has inspired colleagues, supported families, championed inclusion and always placed the needs of young people at the heart of everything he has done. His professionalism, integrity and passion for SEND education have earned him the respect of everyone who has had the privilege of working alongside him.

On behalf of everyone at Expanse, thank you for your incredible service, your friendship and the difference you have made to so many lives.

Important Notice

Due to the current Amber Extreme Heat Warning and the high temperatures forecast over the next two days, we have made the decision to close all Expanse sites on Thursday 25th June and Friday 26th June.

This decision has not been taken lightly. It has been made as a precautionary measure, with the health, safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, families and wider community as our highest priority.

We understand that changes like this may cause some disruption, but ensuring everyone remains safe during extreme weather conditions is essential.

Parents, carers and students should continue to check their usual communication channels for any further updates.

In the meantime, please take care, stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary time in the heat, keep indoor spaces as cool as possible, and look out for one another.

We are committed to doing everything we can as a college to ensure our students have the very best opportunities to understand their transition and explore the services available to them. This dedication led to our College Transition Evening and what a success it was! 🤓🤓🤓

The turnout was incredible and it was wonderful to see so many students, parents, carers, and event hosts coming together. We truly hope everyone enjoyed the evening and found it both informative and inspiring. ⭐
