✨ Celebrating Our Confirmation Candidates ✨

Last week, we were incredibly proud to see a group of our children take part in their Confirmation. It was a truly special occasion, filled with joy, reflection and a deep sense of community.

The children represented our school brilliantly throughout the service – showing maturity, respect and a genuine understanding of the commitment they were making. It was wonderful to see their confidence and faith shining through.

We would like to say a huge well done to all of the children who were confirmed. You should be very proud of yourselves! We also thank our families and parish community for supporting the children on this important step in their journey.

🙏 We keep them all in our thoughts and prayers as they continue to grow in faith.

Invoice fraud can create significant financial and operational disruption for schools, particularly when criminals exploit trusted supplier relationships or busy internal processes.

Our latest guide supports schools in recognising the warning signs and strengthening fraud awareness across teams.

The guide explores:
• How convincing invoices and small email changes can be used to mislead staff
• The risks linked to urgent payment requests and supplier impersonation
• Warning signs such as unusual wording, mismatched details and unexpected bank changes
• Practical steps including verification, invoice cross-checking, dual approval and prompt reporting

With clear, actionable advice, this resource helps schools build confidence and reduce the risk of costly payment fraud.

Reception have had a fun and busy week last week! 😊

We loved taking part in our very first Sports Day 🏃‍♂️🏅 — everyone tried their best and showed fantastic teamwork, cheering their friends on from the sidelines 👏💙.

We also enjoyed our World Cup breakfast ⚽🥣, which was a great way to start the day, and later in the week we got creative making special cards 💌 for someone at home, ready to celebrate their special day on Sunday ❤️.

Thank you for your continued support! 🌟

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful men in our school community.

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, guardians, mentors, and positive male role models who support, guide, encourage, and inspire our children every day.

Thank you for all that you do, both seen and unseen. We hope you have a very special day filled with love, appreciation, and cherished family moments.

Happy Father’s Day from everyone at our school! 💙

☀️🍦 Cooling Down in the Best Way! 🍦☀️

After a fun-filled and very warm day, our little ones enjoyed a lovely icy treat to help cool off! 😋 There were lots of happy smiles, excited chatter and sticky fingers as everyone sat together and enjoyed their refreshing treats.

It was the perfect way to relax after a busy day of learning and play and the children thoroughly enjoyed this special end-of-day surprise. 💕😊

Nothing beats a cold treat and time spent with friends on a hot summer day! 🌞🍦💛

Yesterday’s World Cup Breakfast was a huge success! So many children came into school early to join in, and it was brilliant to see such amazing attendance.

There was a real buzz around school – lots of smiles, lots of fun, and a great sense of community as everyone shared the excitement together.

What an amazing Sports Day 6P! 🏅🌟

As their final Sports Day as primary school children, it was a truly special occasion. The children gave their all in every event, showing fantastic determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Their attitude and behaviour were excellent from start to finish, and they represented themselves and our school brilliantly. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and the way they supported and encouraged one another.

Well done, 6P – you've created some wonderful final Sports Day memories! 🎉👏

Oral language plays a vital role in children’s learning, literacy and social and emotional development.

Our latest guide supports parents and educators with practical, evidence-informed strategies to help children build school-ready language skills.

The guide explores:
• Building oral language through meaningful interaction
• Supporting listening and attention
• Growing children’s vocabulary
• Sharing stories and naming feelings
• Working with settings to spot and support language needs
• Using evidence-based approaches to meet individual needs

With language developing rapidly between the ages of two and six, early support can make a lasting difference to children’s confidence, communication and readiness for school.

✏️🌟 Fantastic Writing and Perseverance! 🌟✏️

Our preschool children have been working incredibly hard on their early writing skills and we are so proud of the determination and perseverance they have shown. Using their growing phonic knowledge, the children carefully sounded out simple CVC words ( with support) and practised recording the sounds they could hear.

The children showed wonderful concentration and great resilience by persevering when they found some words tricky to write. Their confidence is growing each day, and it has been lovely to see the pride on their faces as they shared their achievements with their friends and teachers.

Activities like these help to develop early literacy skills, pencil control and fine motor strength, laying strong foundations for future learning.

✨ Well done, everyone! Keep believing in yourselves and remember that with practice and perseverance, amazing things can happen! ✨

💛 "Success is the result of hard work, perseverance and a willingness to keep trying."
