Celebrating Colin's Service to Our Community

At the end of this month, we mark the retirement of our much-valued Warden, Colin, and take the opportunity to recognise his exceptional dedication to our community.

Colin began his career in public service as a police officer, retiring from the Police Force in 1987. Following this, he continued his commitment to serving others by taking on the role of Cemetery Warden, and later becoming Warden for TRPC.

Over the course of 38 years, Colin has shown unwavering dedication, professionalism, and care in his work. His role has gone far beyond day-to-day responsibilities; he has been a constant, trusted presence and has made a lasting contribution to the wellbeing and dignity of our community spaces.

As Colin steps into retirement, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for his many years of service. His commitment and hard work will be remembered with great respect, and he leaves behind a legacy of service that will not be forgotten.

We wish Colin every happiness and fulfilment in his well-earned retirement.

The only thing that should be overflowing this Christmas is your stockings, not your bins.🎅🎁

Make sure to check when your bins will be collected around the bank holidays. Extra recycling will be collected if it is kept in a sturdy container (e.g. a cardboard box) beside your blue-lidded bin.

Visit our website to check your revised bin collection dates:https://orlo.uk/v4BUN

The Council have been informed by Arla that there is a potential noise issue on the 15th April for around 2 hours during daytime hours.

As part of the installation of the LNG tanks Gasrec will be cooling and drying out the tank next week. This process requires them to fill the tank with inert gas and venting some of it through the vent stack. The venting will be noisy in the area around the plant. This plant is not near the village boundary so they do not anticipate any issues however thought best to give you a courtesy email
