Reuse is better than recycle, so if your electrical items work or are easily repairable you can donate them to Shetland Home Co or Nesting Scrapstore. But if they are at the end of their days, here’s a way to make sure small items are recycled. Lerwick bins are located at Tesco, Co-op, Rudda Park and Lochside.

Closing date for entry 30 June. Judging early July.

Can you spare a couple of hours to support this year’s Pride?

🌈✨VOLUNTEERS NEEDED✨🌈

We have less than two weeks to go and we are still in desperate need of some volunteers. As you all know, we cannot run the parade without the correct number of parade marshals, and we DESPERATELY need more, otherwise the parade just will not happen.

To be a parade marshal all you need to do is attend a short training session beforehand, and be available from 10.30am-12.30pm on the day to walk alongside the parade.

It's a great way to get involved and be part of the Parade!

Also, all volunteers will be entered into a raffle and could win a FREE return trip on the Northlink for 2 people! Which sounds pretty excellent to me.... 👀

We have a range of other roles you can help out with:
A village or evening party steward,
Helping us with setting up and taking down the village and party.
