When your service receives a review like this...

5/5 from me - literally saved my life.

“I’ve been with Herts Careline for a few years now and I cannot recommend them enough. They actually saved my life before when I needed help in a seizure. I couldn’t respond and they instantly called 999 which was so lucky and that’s why I trust them.

Any time I’ve pressed for help, whether it’s been medical or just needing help to understand the tech, they’ve been brilliant. They’ve been so supportive with my epilepsy, learning disability, autism, and also with my mental health. They also understand my disabilities and health needs really well, and are always patient and respectful.

The staff are kind, friendly and treat you like a person not just a number. I feel so much safer knowing they’re there 24/7. Thank you, Herts Careline❤️"

The Government has announced its decision on the future of Hertfordshire's councils as part of its Local Government Reorganisation programme.

From April 2028, the existing 11 county, district and borough councils across Hertfordshire will be replaced by four unitary authorities.

You may be wondering what this means for the Herts Careline service. The key message is that nothing is changing for now. We will continue to deliver our services as normal and remain focused on providing an essential lifeline to the people who rely on us.

Current customers should continue using their community alarm and telecare service as usual, and professionals can continue to refer people to Herts Careline in the normal way. Anyone considering joining our service should also continue to do so with confidence.

To find out more about the Government's preferred option and the timeline for Local Government Reorganisation, visit the Hertfordshire LGR website.
