We had the great pleasure of hosting Jasper Fforde for not one but two events on Friday.
During the afternoon he gave a fascinating talk about the writing process and how to get started with your first novel. He definitely provided some inspiration to some of the budding writers in the audience.
In the evening he gave a more wide-ranging talk about his journey into writing and his life. It was great to hear of his love for libraries and how he made Angela Lansbury a cup of tea 🫖

Can you believe that this year’s Summer Reading Challenge starts just 2 weeks from today?

The Reading Agency has partnered with Universal Music Group UK for this year’s fantastic theme, ‘Read to the Beat’🎵

The challenge is designed for children of all ages and all they need to take part is their own library card. If your child isn’t a library member, you can sign them up for free by visiting your local library.

For eager readers, you can reserve books free of charge for children ahead of the challenge. Just visit the Hertfordshire Libraries catalogue or use our app:
