Health & Independent Living Support (HILS) is a not-for-profit, charitable, Social Enterprise that was established in 2007 to provide meals on wheels and caring services for people in Hertfordshire, to support their independence. Clients in Hertfordshire can receive County Council-subsidised meals if they meet certain criteria but we also accept other clients. Our customer service teams will be happy to advise you about the service in your area. You can contact them via the telephone numbers below:

Throughout September, we'll be shining a spotlight on the wide range of delicious meals we offer, from breakfast and hearty lunches to specialist menus designed to meet cultural, religious and dietary needs.

Whether it's a traditional favourite, a plant-based option, a texture modified meal or something inspired by cuisines from around the world, we're proud to provide choice for our customers every day.

Even though you might be feeling great, if you’re over 40 you may be at risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes or dementia. A FREE NHS Health Check can help you reduce these risks and make sure that you stay healthy.



Checks are running in Hatfield (at Friendship House, Wellfield Close) on:

Appointments need to be booked in advance.
