Day 6 Contact Centre Week 2026 - Weekend Reflections

As Contact Centre Week draws to a close, we have taken time to reflect on some important themes: listening to children’s voices, understanding their perspectives, recognising that every child is unique, and appreciating the shared responsibility we all have in supporting children and families.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to for their continued work in championing child contact centres across the UK, raising awareness of child-centred practice, and supporting services that help children maintain safe and meaningful family relationships.

Thank you also to all the teams in our organisation; Inwood Contact Centre Kattz Kidz Day Nursery Kattz Group Ltd - Inwood Care, volunteers, families, Local Authorities, Social Workers, CAFCASS, Solicitors, and partner agencies whose dedication makes a difference in the lives of children every day.
Together, we continue to create safe spaces where children can be heard, supported, and free to thrive.

Thank you for supporting children and families.

Day 5 - Contact Centre Week 2026

Every Child Is Different

No two children are the same, and neither are their needs.

Some children thrive through play. Some need quiet spaces. Some benefit from sensory resources, while others need support that reflects their age, stage of development, or additional needs.

This Contact Centre Week, we’re joining in recognising that child-centred practice means understanding each child as an individual and adapting support to help them feel safe, comfortable, and able to thrive.

At Inwood Contact Centre, we are committed to creating inclusive, child-friendly environments that support babies, young children, teenagers, and children with additional needs, including access to themed family rooms and our sensory room.

Because every child deserves to be understood, valued, and supported in a way that works for them.

Supporting positive family time for every child.

Week 4 -Contact Centre week 2026 - Everybody’s Responsibility- Family focus

Every parent wants their child to feel safe, loved, and supported.

When family circumstances change, keeping a child’s wellbeing at the centre of decisions can make a lasting difference. Sometimes that means recognising when additional support is needed to help maintain important relationships in a safe and positive way.

This Contact Centre Week, we’re highlighting the role families play in supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and helping them maintain healthy connections with the people who matter most.

Supporting children is not the responsibility of one person, one professional, or one service.

Children achieve the best outcomes when professionals work together, communicate effectively, and remain focused on what matters most; the child’s welfare, safety, and wellbeing.

Social Workers, Schools, Health Professionals, CAFCASS, Solicitors, Contact Centres, and Family Assessment Services all play an important role in helping children feel safe, supported, and heard.

A contact session may last a few hours, but for a child, it can bring a mix of emotions; excitement, nervousness, hope, uncertainty, or joy.

Children often experience situations very differently from the adults around them.

This Contact Centre Week, we’re encouraging everyone to pause and ask: “What might this feel like through the child’s eyes?”

Understanding a child’s perspective is one of the most powerful ways we can support their emotional wellbeing and help them feel safe, heard, and understood.

We Support positive family time, one child at a time.

Contact Centre Week 2026 : The Voice of the Child

Every child deserves to be heard, valued, and understood.

Children don’t always communicate through words. Sometimes they communicate through their behaviour, emotions, play, or even silence. Taking the time to listen can make all the difference.

As we join in celebrating Contact Centre Week, we’re reflecting on the importance of keeping children’s voices at the heart of everything we do.
