Today some of our staff participated in the wing's first RPAS Instructor Course. We have gained instructors with our staff now qualified to teach the blue RPAS course at our squadron and some of our cadets have participated in the wing's first blue RPAS course.

What an incredible week our cadets have had at the RAF Lossiemouth Summer Camp!

Representing 2345 (Leuchars) Squadron, our cadets joined others from across the Wing for a week packed with unique experiences, behind-the-scenes access and unforgettable opportunities.
Among the many highlights were exclusive visits to both the Typhoon and Poseidon squadrons, where they explored the aircraft up close, learned about their operational roles and even had the chance to sit in the cockpit.

The week also included visits to the Military Police, Dog Section, Fire Section and Survival Equipment Section, as well as trips to local aviation museums and heritage centres, including the famous Ni**od at Kinloss. With so much to see and do, it was a fantastic week of learning, teamwork and memories that will last a lifetime.

Four cadets from 2345 (Leuchars) Squadron and 2345DF took to the skies during an exciting flying experience at a nearby Volunteer Gliding Squadron!

The cadets had the opportunity to experience the thrill of gliding while developing confidence, resilience and an appreciation for aviation. Opportunities like these are a fantastic part of bring an RAF Air Cadet, giving young people experiences they'll never forget.

A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers at 661 Volunteer Gliding Squadron, RAF Kirknewton for making today's flying experience possible. We look forward to seeing even more of our cadets taking to the skies in the future!

2345 (Leuchars) and 2345 DF

The month of June has been busy for Leuchars and St Andrews cadets, the month started with the squadron “Harrier” cockpit and cadets supporting the IPMS Scale Model Show in Cupar, then a visit to HMS Duncan followed while the ship was visiting Dundee port.
Last weekend, cadets attended the Central Scotland Wing Fieldcraft course at Leuchars Station and had a “surprise” visit from the Station Fire Section.
Finally this weekend cadets are attending the annual Central Scotland Wing outing to Alton Towers.

Huge congratulations to everyone who attended the No. 4 SATT courses over the recent months.

This includes our very own Adjutant, CI Solomon-O'Donnell who has qualified as Air Rifle Range Conducting Officer and has also successfully completed the Fundamentals of Coaching Course.

Cadets from Leuchars Squadron completed “Gliding Introduction Flights” this weekend with two launches each.

If you are interested in aviation and flying, aged 12 to 17 years old, then the RAF Air Cadets could just be the organisation for you.

The squadron parades at Leuchars Station, Monday and Wednesday evenings 1900 to 2130.

Huge congratulations to our cadets and staff involved in the first SCUBA diving event run in Central Scotland Wing.

Our squadron is proud to have been able to take part in such an exciting experience, with plans already in place to help open this experience up to other squadrons within our wing.

A very successful weekend at The Scottish National Scale Model Show!

Over the course of the weekend, our squadron represented the Royal Air Force Air Cadets at the Scottish National Scale Model Show 2026 which was held in Perth. We received lots of praise for the professionalism of our cadets and staff and had lots of interest shown in our models including our very own decommissioned "Harrier Cockpit".

Well done to all involved and we look forward to any future opportunities to promote interest in the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.
