Wow, what a day yesterday! It couldn’t have been better.

The Parish Council and fête organisers would like to say a huge thanks to everyone who came and supported the Lilley Village Fête. You ran, raced, showed off your dogs, enjoyed the stalls, the bar, the bands and the food. The Lilley Cocktail was a huge success, as were the homemade cakes! It was a lovely day and we are grateful that the sun shone!

Thanks to all the stalls who attended, and Lexi, Effie and Isla of Top Dog Training School who judged the Dog Show.

A special thank you to all residents who helped organise the fête, and/or stepped in to make / run a stall, organise parking, put up and take down marquee and generally make the day the success that it was.

Looks like we’d better do it all over again next year!

Lilley Parish Council would like to inform residents that Hertfordshire County Council is updating its speed management strategy and would like the views of its communities. The consultation contains the proposal for 20mph speed limits. All Hertfordshire residents are eligible to respond to the consultation at the link below:

Not long to go before the Lilley Village Fête on Saturday 18th July !! 💃🕺🥂 Get ready for four fun-packed hours of great music, entertainment, delicious food and drink, craft stalls, dog show and of course lots of lovely Pimms, premium draught l***r and the special Lilley cocktail!!

Ready for the Great Lilley Cake Off ?

We’ve cooked up a delicious cake competition for this year’s Lilley Village Fête on July 18th 🍰 The theme is “British Summer Time”. It’s open to children and adults, so bring your cake creations to Cassel Hall by 12.30pm on the day with a list of ingredients.

The parish council are starting to plan a village fete for this year - to be held on the 18th July at the Recreation Ground and Cassell Memorial Hall. There will be a first working group meeting on Monday 13th April, it is being held at 7.30pm at the Lilley Arms.

If you are happy to help with the Village Fete and are able to attend on Monday then it would be lovely to see you there.
