Parish Council Email Database

In the recent Parish Council village survey, many residents indicated that they would like to receive updates about local events and information via email. In response, the Parish Council is establishing an email database to help keep members of the parish informed about events and other useful updates.

This will not replace our existing communication channels—such as the Village Voice, Facebook, the parish website, or noticeboards – but will provide an additional way for us to share information with residents.

To sign up please follow the link here: https://shorturl.at/xgrQF. Please be assured that you can unsubscribe from this service at any time.

Please do sign up to Lilley Parish Council's email database if you'd like to hear: when there are events being run by the parish council; about planning applications; road closures; and any other relevant issues. We collect and process personal data (such as name and email address) for the purpose o...

It's really important to have your say now to help shape the future of your local government.

This website has been designed to: Inform and educate Hertfordshire residents on what Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) is, and how it impacts them. Provide Hertfordshire residents with the opportunity to have their say – we really want to hear from our communities.

On behalf of the HCC Hertfordshire Speed Management team:

Hertfordshire County Council are updating the Speed Management Strategy which provides a consistent approach to setting speed limits in Hertfordshire.

They want to hear your views on current speed limits in the county, as well as the processes they should follow for setting new speed limits. Please take part in this survey that should take around 5-10 minutes to complete. The survey is open until 11.59pm on Monday 16 February 2026.

The Speed Management Strategy provides the benchmark against which Hertfordshire County Council decides on how new speed limits are set, as well as deciding on whether physical road calming measures are required and which would be appropriate. HCC receive several hundred requests each year from residents and stakeholders to reduce speed limits. Each request is assessed against the Speed Management Strategy to determine whether a reduction is appropriate. Therefore, it’s important to hear from partners and stakeholders about their views on current speed limits in the county, as well as understanding and developing the processes the County Council should follow for setting new speed limits.

We are updating our Speed Management Strategy (SMS) which provides a consistent approach to setting speed limits in Hertfordshire. We receive several hundred requests each year from residents and stakeholders to reduce speed limits. We assess each request against the

Information regarding upcoming road works in East Street/Hexton Road, Lilley:

The permit for these works is FM301BR6402000374758-01 and the permit window is from 3-14 November 2025.

The road space has been booked for two weeks to accommodate a range of essential works.

To minimise disruption, the road will be closed daily from 09:30 to 15:00, avoiding school drop-off and pick-up times. Residents will be granted access when it is safe to do so.

The planned works include:

• Installation of speed humps

• Footway improvements

• Drainage upgrades

Advance notice will be provided via letters and signage two weeks prior to the start date, in line with permit conditions. Local bus services will also be informed at the same time.

While the works are scheduled to last two weeks, it is aimed to complete them sooner, if possible, though this cannot be guaranteed.
