Our children in P4 were learning all about wheelchair basketball today. We are fortunate to have Callum in our class who is a fully qualified basketball referee and recent award winner for his Volunteer work in the sport. By experiencing what it is like to use a wheelchair to move and shoot the children empathise and respect those sportsmen and women who play this sport. A big thank you to Callum for his guidance today.

We have had a very busy and exciting time in nursery as we prepare for our big move to Primary One.

Over the past few weeks, the children have been taking part in lots of transition activities to help them feel confident and familiar with their new school environment. We have enjoyed using the assembly hall for PE, visiting the school library, working in the ICT suite and even practising using the food trays in the canteen at dinner time.

Today was a very special milestone as we had our first Stay and Play session in Primary One. The children loved meeting the P1 staff, exploring their new classrooms, and playing in their new learning spaces.

We are so proud of how well everyone has embraced these new experiences. The children have shown great enthusiasm and growing confidence throughout. 🌟

A big thank you to Stuart Mullan for kindly making a beautiful new picnic bench for our Nursery children.

The children are already looking forward to sitting together, chatting, playing and enjoying snack time outside in the sunshine.
