Works to Parish Council playparks:
Unfortunately, the North Lane playpark slide was condemned as it was beyond economical repair. With some £12000 of repairs required this financial year for various items of equipment, at both of Navenby’s playparks, including the Venue’s outdoor fitness equipment, the Parish Council voted to remove it for the time being. A bespoke designed and manufactured slide is required, as opposed to a stock item, because of the dimensions of the mound. This makes replacement even more expensive. The stone wall at North Lane also requires repairs for which the Parish Council is currently awaiting quotes - this is also likely to be expensive. Finally, the replacement slide at 20 Row (already purchased specifically for that playpark) is due to be installed at more expense - scheduled for April - and the Parish Council is also scoping other potential improvements to the 20 Row playpark. Consequently, the Parish Council will examine when and how the lack of a slide at North Lane playpark can be addressed once it is clear what playpark finances are available in the Spring of 2026.

We understand how important the playparks are to residents but we have a duty to make sure they are safe. This means that equipment has to be removed if it cannot be repaired to current standards.

This notice has been received from Lincolnshire NHS Integrated Care Board.
"Cliff Villages Medical Practice will remain closed tomorrow, Friday 20th February. As you know, this temporary closure of the practice is a result of the Care Quality Commission (CQC)’s removal of the practice’s registration due to administrative issues.

NHS Lincolnshire ICB colleagues have today been on-site alongside practice staff who have been answering phone calls and rescheduling patient appointments. This will continue tomorrow.

We appreciate this is a concerning time for the practice’s patients, however, we are working at pace together with the practice team, CQC, and other local partners to ensure the practice is able to re-open and offer safe, high-quality care as soon as possible.

We will continue to update the practice’s patients via staff on-site and telephones and using our website and social media. We will also continue to brief you regularly via email and we would appreciate your help relaying our messaging to Cliff Villages Medical Practice patients. If you have any questions, please contact us."
Navenby Parish Council hope this is satisfactorily resolved very soon.

The attached formal notice has been received by the Parish Council. Please note the information regarding attendance.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Similarly, if any residents contact you about the work we’re doing at the proposed site, please feel free to signpost them to us directly and we can answer any questions they might have.
