Feudalism never completely died out. It changed in nature, you're no longer asked to go to war for your lord, but the power structure and hierarchy remains mostly the same.
Peasants toil on the shop floor under the watchful eyes of their managers who in turn are watched over by boss who rules as king over his business.
Not to mention landlords (a term that originates from the feudal system) who are still allowed to collect rent from their peasants by right of land ownership and the fact that 30% of British farms arnt owned by the people who run them but instead by landlords who, as they did in the middle ages, collect the product of the farmers labour despite not having contributed to its production. To add insult to injury one of the biggest of these landlords is still the king.
Capitalism has failed to fully dismantle feudalism because it never sought out to do that, Capitalism was simply a way for the rich lamdowning class to maintain their power and influence in the face of growing urbanisation and industrialisation.
